Saturday was my big day!

On Saturday morning, I watched a painter paint his mansion blue  and the colours made me blue. After that, I ate my breakfast and it was vegetables. I was bored after eating my breakfast so I drawed things in the board. I draw about a stick man people’s it was really fun and funny.

After that I took a bath because I was really smelly and dirty after playing the games yesterday. After washing myself, I watched ‘Johnny's Test’. It was an awesome video. And my favourite part was the time Johnny test’s failed. I loved it very much  then it was lunch time and we had cereal and corn.

I played “Chaos Fighter” on my dad’s phone. It was a really fun game. I was a little addicted of the game. I was so strong in that game that I kept passing levels. And got lots of diamonds, gold and achievement medals.

After that I asked my friends, “Do you want to play with me?” My friends replied “Yes, we can... What game is it?” I answered it’s called  “Chaos Fighting”. We played together. I help my friend how to pass the levels of the game so he will be good like me.

I really enjoyed that day because my friends and I played together happily and fairly it was very fun.

Want to have a good education?

School is awesome
School is really important because you will learn about a lot of things like  R.E, Maths, Reading and many, many more.  Being educated means you will have a good future when you grow up. At school, you can make great friends too!  There’s a lot of different people you interact with everyday like the principal who is the head of the school,  the teachers who help and teach all the children to learn. Sometimes if a teacher s sick, he or she gets a reliever to handle the class.
A school has a lot of support staff to help the students in their needs and to assist the smooth running of the school. The cleaner or janitor who cleans the school when the school ends in the afternoon, the librarian, the school secretary and the lunchroom lady are part of the support staff.

Here are the facilities every school offers to the students:
  • the classroom  where all students do their schoolwork most of the time.
  • the staff room where all the staff go during morning tea, lunchtime, and when they have meetings.
  • the sickbay where students go when they have a scratch, cut or when they are sick.
  • the playground where students plays during morning tea or lunch time.
  • the library where students can borrow books and research information for topics.
  • the lunch room where we can order food.
  • the principal’s office is where the teachers send the kids who are naughty for detention.
Every school is multi cultural because there is a mixture of different kinds of students like Tongan, Samoan, Filipinos, Chinese and many others. The good things about is we get to learn about their culture.

At St. Patrick’s School, there are a lot of events and programs such as Kiwisports (such as softball, ripper rugby, netball and soccer). We have events like cultural festival which is very exciting for the students because different classes practise a specific cultural dance for 8 weeks and then they get to perform on stage in front of a big audience.  Another event that happens at St. Patrick’s School is called APOPS. APOPS invite schools to watch their performance at the Aotea Centre. They put on a wonderful show because they use all the musical instruments in the orchestra to impress the audience. There is also Mission day where students prepare games and they also sell some products. After Mission Day, the money is collected and donated to an orphanage.  St. Patrick’s day is a day when people switch class to play games with the other teachers.  There is also the Duffy show and that is a performance by the Duffy book people. They perform for the kids to encourage them to read books.

St. Patrick’s School is a school with lot of great opportunities for students to get a good education.

WALT plan and write an explanation.
