Physical changes are exactly what is sounds like. You make a change of the item physically and it’s properties and name doesn’t change. E.g if you cut wood, it's still named a wood. You haven’t created diamonds or wood planks.
Chemical changes are the opposite of a physical change. You change the material chemically mostly creating another item mostly haves another scientific term for it. E.g you burn wood, it’s now classified as burnt wood and its irreversible.
