Guy Fawkes Day (Origin)

Screenshot 2016-11-08 at 1.45.09 PM.pngGuy Fawkes day known as Bonfire and Firework night, is an annual event celebrated every 5th of November to remember the fail assassination of the king of England around that time. The history of the event started in November 5 when a member of the Gunpowder plot named Guy Fawkes was arrested, trying to guard the explosives that plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. Inside the House of Lords was King James 1, which had survived during the failed assassination of the King. People lit bonfires and celebrated the failed attempt on killing the King. Months after the event, the Observance of 5th November act enforced an annual public day to thank the plot’s failure.
